St Elwyn Church

stelwynsSt Elwyn’s is a Victorian church (Grade 2*) situated in the Foundry area of Hayle, close to the beach and harbour.  It was built in 1886 to a design by John Dando Sedding, who later designed Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, London.  A key feature of St Elwyn’s Church is the magnificent ‘Friendship Window’, designed by Clayton & Bell in 1933, which covers most of the west wall.

St Elwyn is one of the five churches which is encompassed within the Godrevy Team Ministry.


On Sunday, at our 9:30am Sung Eucharist, follow the Anglo-Catholic tradition; with liturgical ceremony and the offering of incense. Ending with the Angelus and ringing of the Church Bell.

On Wednesday,at 10;00am a shorter Said Eucharist, gathered more informally in the Choir Stalls. This Service lasts for about half an hour, and is suitable for all ages.

On the fifth Sunday of the month there is a joint Team Worship, rotated between our five Team Churches.
